What is Societay?
We want to encourage people to work together, and in turn, help the city move forward. There is an enormously varied population packed into this small city. We have a world renowned art school, two universities and a college, with students from all over the world coming to Dundee to study. We are also lucky enough to have a number of companies at the forefront of their sectors both nationally and internationally, all operating from a base in Dundee. Everyone thinks in different ways and we can learn a lot from other people’s passions and interests. We want to use this new platform to facilitate collaboration across the sectors and across the city, to help connect people in new ways and to help people think creatively. What do we do?
We host events across Tayside aimed at encouraging cross sector collaboration. From entrepreneurs to architects, designers to doctors, students to social workers, and everyone in between, we want to bring the public and private sector together. Our monthly social is our main event and runs on the first Thursday of every month at The White Goose in Dundee. There is no structure, no pressure and no agenda. Come along and meet a wide range of interesting people in a relaxed atmosphere. We run others events throughout the year promoting collaboration and entrepreneurialism in the city. Our latest series is ‘Small Talk’ and details of these events can be found on our events page here. Click here to see our latest events. Do you want to run an event with us or need our help?
